College Library

Library has a collection of about ten thousand volumes and it subscribes twenty five perlodicals. An audlovisual section is attached to the library, which has a good collection of cassettes, CDs etc. All the collections in the library are classified and catalogued. Arrangements are being made to computerize the house keeping operations of the library with the help of a software package called "Book Magic".

  • The Library shall be kept open from 9 AM to 5 PM on all working days.
  • Readers should record their visit in the gate register.
  • Before entering the library, personal textbooks and other belongings must be kept outside.
  • Complete silence must be observed inside the library. Conversations and discussions are not allowed.
  • Readers shall be responsible for any damage done to books, periodicals, or other library property.
  • Books will be issued only on the basis of the Reader’s Ticket system.
  • Books will be loaned only for a fortnight and must be returned on or before the due date.
  • Magazines and reference books will not be issued.
  • Loan can be terminated at any time by the Librarian.
  • A reader who loses the Reader’s Ticket must report it in writing to the Librarian.
  • The maximum number of books issued to a student at a time is two.
  • The reader must check the condition of the book before leaving the counter and will be liable for damage found later.
  • Library books and magazines should be kept in good condition. Any damage will be recovered from the concerned person.
  • Fine will be levied for delayed return of books.
  • Three times the actual cost will be charged for lost books.
  • Books and Reader’s Tickets must be returned at the end of the academic year.
